Fingers crossed as I jumped in with both feet to replace Carol Martens as the Visit Tuolumne County OWAC Fall Conference Raffle Queen. It always starts out slow. Who should we ask? What should we ask? Getting and coordinating the donations. Do we have enough? Do we have too much? Will anyone really be interested?

Not to worry. It all went off, mostly, without a hitch. So many friends and members came forward with offerings; the raffle table was filled to capacity. Then the frantic work to sell tickets. Shaking the bag of raffle tickets. Digging deep. The exciting moments when tickets are selected The last-minute auction of a beautiful pair of boots handcrafted by Patrick Young. .  All the happy smiles on the winners’ faces.

Thank you so much to everyone who made this so successful and helped us raise more than $1,000 for OWAC.
