On a November trip into the oak woodlands of the Sierra Nevada foothills of Tuolumne County, we found some peace and tranquility in Sonora, an antidote to the bustle of LA. A group of us took a guided wander in sequoia groves of Yosemite National Park and headed into controversial Hetch Hetchy.

So many friends and members came forward with offerings; the raffle table was filled to capacity.
Traveling solo up to and through Yosemite I was hopeful that – as a driver without a plan – I’d get more chances to enjoy random, unscheduled photo stops. Or might there be other complications and lessons along the way?
Glacier Point is graced with some of the most stunning views in Yosemite National Park, with a panorama of peaks, valleys and waterfalls, including the iconic Half Dome rock formation front and center. There could hardly be a more spectacular start.
Fall Equinox occurs around September 23rd each year. The sun crosses the celestial equator, from north to south, heralding the end of summer marking the official start of autumn. Days are getting shorter; shadows are longer; nights are cooler, and you can feel the change in the air. It’s inspiration
OWAC’s fall conference, occurring Nov. 14-17, in beautiful Tuolomne County will be loaded with so many fun outdoor adventures, experiences and excursions that choosing which options will be very challenging.
November 15, 2021, OWAC general membership will convene at the beautiful and inspiring town of Sonora, California, hosted by Tuolumne County’s Go Tuolumne organization.
