Message from OWAC President, Carrie Wilson
In November 2021, the team at the Tuolumne County Visitor’s Bureau put on what will go down in the history books as one of OWAC’s best fall conferences ever! The team (led by Lisa, Jen, Monique and Sara) put on a top-notch event full of so many unique experiences and outdoor activities that members should have lots of interesting stories, articles, photos, postings, etc. to publish throughout the coming year, and beyond.
Next up will be our spring conference set for May 2022 in Big Bear, California. This mountainous community in southern California is another fantastic region of our state that’s full of a large and diverse menu of outdoor activities and opportunities. Members can look forward to another outstanding conference to meet and network with other members and to experience some of the finest outdoor adventures available in the state.
In addition to conferences, OWAC is gearing up for our annual Excellence in Craft awards contest. Don’t let this opportunity to showcase your best work pass you by! Cash prizes will again be awarded for the best in each category. Plan to pull together your best work from last year to submit once the window opens. Stand by for more info in the near future.
Here’s to a happy and healthy 2022 for all. I hope this year will be full of lots of fun outdoor experiences and many unique and noteworthy adventures that you will be sharing with all of us!
All the best!
Carrie Wilson
President
