Our final judging period for 2022 delivered four remarkable winning images and, incredibly, not a single bird. Such diversity in this display including up-close and personal with our first Dielis Wasp. Yes, insects are wildlife, too! All of our subjects were busy sharing their life in the wild. The 11th annual photo contest has concluded and we look forward to sharing the 2022 California Wildlife Photo and Photographer of the Year in early 2023. Thank you to all of the photographers who continue to support the contest. We look forward to seeing more of you next year.

About
California Watchable Wildlife
California Watchable Wildlife (CAWW) celebrates the state’s wildlife and diverse habitats by acknowledging and elevating the value of wildlife viewing to benefit individuals, families, communities, and industries while fostering awareness and support for wildlife and habitats. To that end, CAWW partners with regional agencies to communicate information about their wildlife and nature tourism assets to the viewing and traveling public.
