Although summer is slowly winding down, your OWAC Board of Directors are committed to actively working throughout the year behind the scenes on behalf of our membership. The Board meets nearly every month on the second Monday at 7:00 pm via teleconference to discuss any timely issues, developing new/better member benefits, membership recruitment, and plans for future conferences and events. These meetings are open to everyone who may wish to attend.

Despite all the tasks and goals that your Board of Directors accomplishes, nearly every committee would benefit greatly from more member involvement, and we would love for you to join us! So, I’m asking you all, would you be willing to step up and become more involved by assisting on a committee (or two). Some of the committees and areas where we need some help and fresh ideas are:

• Youth Scholarships
• Endowment and Investments
• Social Media
• Newsletter
• Website
• Craft Improvement
• Californian of the Year Award

Please give this some consideration and let us know if you would be interested in becoming more involved. We are not looking for a big-time commitment, just some assistance to help us accomplish some needed tasks and goals. We would especially appreciate your new ideas or suggestions to help the Board do an even better job for you and other OWAC members.
