OWAC Conferences – A Great Benefit of Membership
Plans and preparations for OWAC’s Spring 2022 Conference, May 10-12, in beautiful Big Bear, CA are now in full swing. Located in Southern California at an altitude of over 6,700 ft., Big Bear is loaded with year-round recreation – everything from hiking, boating, fishing, mountain biking, ziplining, skiing, off-road exploring, and so much more.
For those of you who were lucky enough to attend the last Big Bear conference in 2015, you will remember their warm hospitality, outdoor adventures aplenty, breathtaking scenery, as well as the incredible conference itself. Plan to come early and stay late to take advantage of everything Big Bear has to offer. From outdoor adventures, to local culture and history tours, great restaurants, to scenic drives around the lake, Big Bear has it all. The folks at Visit Big Bear will be happy to assist with story ideas and content to help you to make the most of your stay.
Traditionally held in spring and fall of each year, OWAC conferences are one of the biggest benefits of membership. For me, I enjoy getting to visit different regions of the state that I might not otherwise venture to, and then the opportunity to engage in the best outdoor recreation activities available in those areas. Conferences also bring members together to network and connect (or reconnect) with other members, whose talents include writing, photography, videography, digital media, podcasting, and more.
Every conference is different, but I find every one of them to be very beneficial in helping me with my trade, and of course, they are always super fun!
Registration will open beginning April 1. Watch your e-mail for more announcements.
I hope you all can join us!
