OWAC EIC Contest winners won more than certificates this year.
Eight students from five California high schools were winners in this year’s Pat Vachini Writing and Photography Contest sponsored by OWAC. Cash awards to the winners total almost $1,000.
We all have our specialized markets for articles and photos. Yours may center on hunting, fishing or hiking publications. OWAA compiled various sources on the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act for outdoor journalists to review and learn from, including information specific to freelancers, nonprofits and businesses. Within the CARES Act are opportunities for organizations and businesses to apply for loans from the U.S. government – many of which are forgivable loans.
