Dear Santa,

After working hard to be a very good boy for most of the year I think the stuff on my Fishmas Wish List is in the bag!

Travel to faraway places

Getting out on for a couple of weeks to explore the outer reaches of Patagonia, including the best kept secret spots for catching monster trout on the fly, is item one. Simple, right?

Satellite Phone

But to do that we’re gonna have to get kinda lost, so an Iridium 9555 Satellite Phone System with deluxe package and GPS/emergency signaling would be the least I could expect.

Hardy Ultralite

Hardy Ultralite Four-Piece Fly Rods are the best in the world and this lad deserves only the best. Of course, another reward for good behavior is early release, like the early release of line off the Abel Vaya Fly Reel finished in an awesome colorful brown trout motif, mounted onto my new Hardy.

Blackstone Custom Flies

If we are being honest, I really would feel short-changed without the proper assortment of Blackstone Custom Flies The best flies in the world are tied by world class tier, Bill Blackstone, so a couple dozen of his finest would be in order. Blackstone’s bugs will make a grown man cry and a fish walk on water.

Someone Telling My Story

Now, this last part might be a little tough. See, I’ve been doing this writing thing for quite a few years so I cannot guess how this could happen unless I do it myself. Getting it all down in writing in A Lovely Book about my exploits fishing around the world, written by a great outdoor author like Tom Stienstra or Gary Graham, would be a nice finishing touch.

That’s it, not much to ask.

Oh, and Peace and Joy throughout the world. Yeah, that’s it.

Humbly yours,

Bob Semerau

Bob Semerau

The many years I have spent running my own business gives me a unique perspective on managing projects and creating effective programs. Coupled with the ten years I have been writing for Western Outdoor News these experiences have allowed me a set of skills perfectly suited for the OWAC Board of Directors. During my tenure as OWAC Vice President we have achieved substantial progress in the way OWAC operates and how we serve our membership. These contributions have been some of the most enjoyable and rewarding experiences of my professional life. The further development of the craft awards program, working with each successive chair person, is among the many progressive developments I have accomplished as a volunteer on the OWAC Board. My interest in making OWAC work better, adding value both professionally and personally for each member, is the driving force behind my desire to stay aboard and complete initiatives recently begun. I seek your vote for re-election to the board so I may further the cause of OWAC and its membership and help it to continue to build as a unique, and outstanding, professional organization.
