OWAC 2011 FALL CONFERENCE
October 9-10, Redding, CA

The Fall 2011 OWAC Conference celebrated OWAC’s silver anniversary in the city where OWAC was conceived, Redding, California. The conference began on Sunday, Oct. 9 with the Outdoor Media Marketplace, a meeting of OWAC members, a newsmaker session and craft improvement sessions at the conference hotel.  That evening, 25 years of OWAC and presentation of the Californian of the Year occurred near Sundial Bridge with attendees heading to the outdoors on Monday, Oct. 10 (in unseasonable rain) for a variety of activities including hiking, sightseeing tours, trout and bass fishing.  That evening, attendees headed to Shasta Lake where they boarded houseboats for their second night in the Shasta Cascade, culminating with a barbecue at the Jones Valley Marina.
