Beautiful spot overlooking the inner bay and right next to a great, inexpensive public golf course built by the conservation corps during WWII. The rockfish season for this area opens May 1 and there are several sportfishing boats that serve the public -- and offer welcome relief from the summer heat in the central valley. Good surfing both north and south of the harbor and in the entrance channel itself.
